Here is my story...

About Me - in short

Hello, I'm Kaye, a clinical psychotherapist, who practices psychotherapy in the Oxfordshire area of the United Kingdom. I have an extensive background in assisting soldiers through PTSD and managing people's anxiety.

For over a decade, I worked for the British military welfare and, for the past 20 years, I have successfully assisted military personnel and their families suffering with stress, anxiety, depression, addictions, PTSD and relationship challenges.

When you browse this site, you'll find lots to help you on your healing journey. My experience, skills and knowledge are at your disposal to help you navigate through the distress you're experiencing - you've no need to feel trapped by life circumstances anymore.

  • Here's a brief recap:

    • MA Psych (Hons) - Masters in Psychotherapy

    • HG Dip - Diploma in Human Givens Psychotherapy

    • CBT Dip - Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

    • EFT Dip - Diploma in Emotional Freedom Techniques

    • Continuing Professional Development - throughout every year of practice

    • DBS (Enhanced) Certificate - checked to work with young adults and children as well as adults.

    • Registered with Professional Standards Authority

    • Insured to practice through Balens

    DONATION-BASED

MY DECISION TO GO THIS ROUTE

The fees from therapists can range between £45 through to £800 (and then some!). That's quite a wide range, I know. Those fees are based on the therapist's qualifications, experience, skills and, of course, how well-known they are.

Alongside my personal experience, I have gained the academic credentials. Those skills have been gained over a 30+ year period. Over a decade of which was spent with thousands of British Military soldiers, working inside the welfare system. As a 45 year old woman, I earned a Masters (Hons) degree in Psychotherapy, Diplomas in CBT and EFT. Now, I keep up with ongoing CPDs (Continuing Education Training). I have an Enhanced DBS Check (specifically for children and vulnerable adults), plus I'm insured to practice and registered with the ICO (for GDPR regulations). The outgoings for these expenses are (on average) around £9k per year (minimum). This means that, while I only ask for a donation for counselling, I need to bring in the funds to provide the necessary things a human being needs to live on (food, water, clothing, roof over my head, vehicle to get to places etc.)

However, because of the hardship that many are experiencing today, I've created a donation-based therapy service and I also invest my time in a few charities that give military personnel and first-responders free therapy. To help cover any short-fall, any sales of books, magazines, newsletters, online courses or workshops, helps me to keep going.

My ethos is to help heal minds, bodies and emotions so that, as individuals, we can begin to create and live in a better world together.
